|Spring Cleaning for a Cause: Earth Day with Schoola|
I'm so excited to partner with Schoola for Earth Day! I've been doing a lot of spring cleaning the past couple of weeks--combing through the depths of my closet and sorting through unworn and forgotten clothing. Luckily, there are many options for finding new homes for your unused things. I like turning to eco-friendly methods for unwanted goods. If I can't wear or swap something, I always donate it.
Schoola is an online thrift store that sells clothing to benefit schools in the US and the Malala Fund internationally, with 40% of all proceeds benefiting children's education. Everything on their site is donated and they have lots of great brands at fantastic prices.
As you know, I'm big on thrift shopping! It's a great way to reduce waste and keep clothing out of landfills. Here are a few pieces from Schoola's site that I styled (just a small sampling of the cute things you can find on there):
|Left to Right: J. Crew blouse, Forever 21 dress, H&M shirt (c/o Schoola)|
It's really easy to donate! All you have to do is request a donation bag, fill it up with clothing (in excellent condition), and send it in. It's FREE to request one and it already has a pre-paid shipping label attached. I even requested an extra bag to fill up with more donations.
Earth Day is April 22nd, but you can do your part year-round. Make it a point to clean your closet out regularly and find other ways to help out.
