“Look at me!
Look at me!
Look at me NOW!
It is fun to have fun
But you have to know how.”
Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat

I was finally struck with inspiration for my Halloween costume and decided to go as the beloved Dr. Seuss character, The Cat in the Hat. It was perfect because I already had this weird/cool sweater dress that looks like a tuxedo (it even has tiny coattails) from a previous swap and had yet to wear it.

And, you know, there's a really big bow involved.

For the hat, I looked up different tutorials online and easily put together a smaller version of it using red and white felt. I stuck it on a headband (slightly askew) along with a cat ear, and pinned a matching felt bow (pieced together with a glue gun) onto the sweater dress. I made sure to use my Jump from Paper bag, in all its two-dimensional glory, since I had to head to work anyway. Overall, it was pretty easy to put together and everyone seemed to enjoy it at our Halloween event.

I'm very much in the Halloween mood and have some creepy/fun movies I need to watch. Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice, The Addams Family, and The Nightmare Before Christmas are waiting for me.
