Fashion Meets Technology: HP Ultrabook™ Bag Design Contest

HP Ultrabook™ Bag Design Contest featuring Mondo Guerra

As technology evolves, so does fashion. The convergence of fashion and technology has resulted in cleverly designed products that are both protective and/or practical, and aesthetically pleasing as well. Phones, cameras, and even laptops can be accessorized with cases and bags, ranging from indie artist collaborations to high-end designer labels--there's something to suit everyone's personal tastes and needs.

Personally, I love dressing up my technology any way I can--it's another innovative way to express myself. For my laptop, a pink quilted laptop bag I found at TJMaxx. For my camera, a DIY polka-dot camera strap. I figure, if it's going to be functional, it might as well be nice to look at too.

Mondo Guerra, from season 8 of Project Runway (my personal favorite from that season!) and winner of Project Runway All Stars, is hosting the HP Ultrabook™ Bag Design Contest. He came up with some stylish tech bags exclusively for HP. They're actually really cute. I love that he stayed true to his signature bold, graphic prints. They'll keep your laptop safe and make a statement at the same time (awesome!):

The top 40 designs have been picked for the HP Ultrabook™ Bag Contest.
There are a lot of clever ideas (think special compartments and pockets, versatility, sustainable materials, convertibility, etc.) the contestants have come up with.

Don't forget to vote for your favorite!
You can vote for one design each day. Contest ends September 26th, 2012.

How do you express your personal style with your favorite tech device?

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective, and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
