Beauty Blurb: Julep Maven Review

Julep Maven Introductory Box // Style With a Twist // "Robin" and "Rose", Pedi Creme, toe separators

I recently joined Julep's monthly Julep Maven program. They send you 2-3 nail polishes and occasionally another beauty product to try, based on your style profile (mine is the "Classic with a Twist"). I love the polishes I received so far. Not only are the colors opaque and smooth, but they're toxin-free and formulated without all the nasty stuff (no formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, or DBP). I also really like the bottle. It makes it easy to stack and store them in my drawer.

My only gripe is the brush--it's a little too skinny for my taste, but it makes it easier to do French tips/the occasional stripe.

On the nails: Julep's "Robin" (robin egg blue creme) and "Rose" (watermelon red creme)

The program is wonderful so far. $20 a month for three products, which is a good deal considering the polishes are $14 each originally. You can preview the box before they send it to you, and either switch it with another style or skip it if you don't want to receive one (or if you're feeling generous, send it to a friend!). I like that they give you options.

There are also awesome specials and sales every now and then, and a wide range of colors and finishes to choose from. It'd also make a great gift for the nail polish/beauty addict in your life.

Or yourself. Whichever.

I received the intro box for a penny (thanks, Katrina).
Use COLOR2012 at checkout to try it for yourself for $0.01 too!

I just received the Trina Turk Fall 2012 x Julep shades and was super impressed. You'll see my Julep polishes popping up in future Polish Posts, as well as a mascara review.
