Polish Post: Matte Baby Blue and Nude Nails

Matte Baby Blue and Nude Stripe Nails

It's a little mod and unconventional, but I like how it came out (really easy to do too!). You can't see it, but I put a thin strip of matte topcoat in the center. I was hoping it would look like four different striped shades/finishes, but you can hardly tell (and it rubbed off the next day--does anyone know any good matte topcoats that are under $10? Let me know if you do!).

Paint a thick stripe of a nude polish (I used Pop Beauty's "O Boy") on your nail (doesn't have to be straight!). Once dry, paint a thick stripe of an opaque baby blue shade (I used Pop Beauty's "Baby Blue") on the opposite side of the nail. Stripes should be even. You can always use tape for sharper lines.

Cover the entire nail in a glossy top coat, and once dry, paint a thin strip of a matte top coat down the center). The nails will have two shades, but appear to have four different stripes--the effect is subtle, but might be more dramatic if you experiment with bolder colors.
