I chatted with fellow bloggers and snacked a bit during the party, while checking out Quiksilver's new women's line. I didn't expect it to be so...nice. Typically, when I think of Quiksilver, I automatically go back to my middle school days. I associate it with super casual skater/surfwear--like Roxy--but the new Quiksilver Women line is more grown-up and contemporary, with a Californian-boho vibe. I could see myself wearing a lot of the pieces, and the maxi dresses and prints were quite lovely.
The store opening culminated in a unique spiritual blessing by the Wishtoyo Foundation (one of the original tribes that founded Malibu!). It was definitely the first time I'd witnessed a store being blessed, so that made the event pretty special.
It was nice to just enjoy the ambiance, live music, and crowd (umm...I spotted Cindy Crawford and Stephanie Pratt. Random).
Be sure to check out the Quiksilver women's line online, or if you're in Southern California, stop by the flagship store at the Malibu Lumber Yard.
Outfit post coming soon!
