Ahh, I'm so sad that this is the last episode of Dating Rules from My Future Self. In episode 9, "U Can Get It if U Really Want", Lucy gets ready for a date with her ex-fiance's best friend.
Her outfit is adorable and perfect for a casual dinner date. She stuck with goldtone jewelry: layered charm necklaces, a bracelet, and ring, as well as a belt with goldtone details. By keeping them all the same metal tone, it keeps the jewelry from clashing with each other and looking overdone.
I like that she grabbed a bright orange clutch to go with her dress--her accessories are always bold, but never flashy or gaudy--just the perfect amount of color to complement the subdued shades in her outfit.
Get the look:
|1. Orange frame clutch (ASOS, $44.76 USD) | 2. Floral ruffle dress (ModCloth, $39.99 USD) | 3. Turquoise link bracelet (Lucky Brand, $35 USD) | 4. Gold love charm necklace (Erica Anenberg, $100 USD) | 5. Nude platform wooden sandal heels (Seychelles "Point of No Return", on sale for $44 USD) | 6. Woven taupe belt (Forever 21, $3.80 USD)|
To get Lucy's date look, slip on a floral dress with a nice ruffle layer around the neckline and add a tan belt around your waist. A bright orange clutch will keep your things organized while adding a nice splash of color to your outfit. For jewelry, be sure to stick to the same metal tones. A chunky goldtone turquoise bracelet around your wrist and a charm necklace are lovely ways to make your outfit a little dressier. Finish the look with nude strappy high-heeled sandals (I love these heels from Seychelles! They go with just about everything).
