Shoe Lust: Jelly Shoes Spring/Summer 2011

You know how you used to have those jelly sandals when you were younger? The swirly flats or sandals with straps that gave you blisters? You insisted on wearing them anyway, because hey, they were cute.

If you're still on a Vivienne Westwood Anglomania high like I am, or are just feeling a little nostalgic, there's no need to worry: lots of designers have updated grown-up versions of jelly shoes this season! From the adorable animal face flats from Marc by Marc Jacobs, to the t-strap sandals with interchangeable adornments by Poetic Licence, there's a jelly version of almost every style shoe imaginable.

And the grown-up versions are way more comfortable--and arguably cuter--than your childhood ones.

Enjoy the cuteness overload (and start saving those paychecks)! Your 6-year-old self would squeal with delight (and your present self will too).

(I have the pink glitter version of these sandals from 2010, and they're really comfortable! Plus, it comes in different colors and has interchangeable buttons that snap on and off. I always get compliments whenever I wear them. Very affordable too!)

Which one is your favorite? Personally, I love them all, but if I had to choose, I'd go with the wedge bow sandals by Harajuku and animal flats from Marc by Marc Jacobs. ;)
