Dangerous and sweet

Details: Cream lace dress (Target), black crocheted tights (Betsey Johnson), Black mary-jane flats (Nine West), Double-breasted military coat with hood in Hibiscus (Courtesy of Tulle)

I'm a huge fan of fall, if only for the weather. Not only do the leaves turn all golden and red, but it gets cooler outside too! And cooler weather = cooler weather clothing and accessories (coats! jackets! scarves! gloves!). It's my favorite season--I'm not a summer person at all! Maybe it's because I live in southern California and it's hot from April to October.

Anyway, I welcomed the drop in temperature because it meant I could wear my new plaid military coat from Tulle. I wore it over another inexpensive dress I found at Target (about $11 on sale!) and some patterned tights.

Me and the best friend finally had the chance to hang out. Between my full-time job/sewing/blogging and her school/job, it's been extremely hard to find time to see each other, or just talk even. We did the usual--ate something fatty and delicious (bacon cheeseburgers, mozzarella sticks, and drinks at T.G.I.Fridays) and of course, cupcakes!

We decided to try the new place at the Valencia mall, Velvet Cupcakes. I got the red velvet and hazelnut, and they were pretty good. The cake was really moist and the frosting had just the right amount of sweetness without being too overwhelming. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Ahh. I need to start holiday shopping soon! Anyone shopping on Black Friday?

I love this outfit! The dress is amazing (oh, how I miss living near a Target) and don't even get me started on that jacket!!

Those cupcakes also look super yummy. I'm quite jealousssssss (and possibly drooling thinking about how delicious those must've been)!
