Graduation Day!

awkward photo taken right after walking off the stage to receive my diploma (er...diploma holder. we'll receive our diplomas in the mail in a few months).

so. i graduated on saturday (magna cum laude! wooo!).
i'm a graduate.
feels weird to say.
feels even weirder when i think about it.
but mostly, it feels ahhhh-mazing!

the past few days have been exhausting, but way worth it. graduation day was hectic, as i was running on less than 3 hours of sleep and no coffee, which was fun (not). once i arrived at school, everything went pretty smoothly and i took pictures with family & friends before heading to lunch.

i wore my rodarte for target dress, but didn't get to take pictures of my outfit before the ceremony. that's okay though, because i pretty much looked like this, so just pretend that's from the same day.

here's my day, in photos:

mom, me, my sister tritia & dad

my friends aldriel, nadia, alex, daisy, juvenah, elise and me before the ceremony

me and yan, one of my best college friends

me and my bff, clarrisa

me and kelsey (and the awesome halloween hello kitty she got me)

yan, mark, me & cruz

i really appreciated my family (including my best friend and her mom, my extended family!) for showing up. my friends kelsey and nixia even traveled just to see us graduate (kelsey flew in from seattle, and nixia drove all the way from palm springs), so it was really cool seeing them again. i didn't have time to get a picture with nixia and a few other friends because we were rushing, but i was happy to see everyone.

thanks so much to mom & dad for the awesome gifts! the juicy couture necklace is my favorite. my sister also got us tickets to see flight of the conchords when i get back from europe. i'm really excited for that! :)

college flew by even faster than high school, but i enjoyed every minute of it. i made a lot of close friends (even best friends!) and learned a lot. it's been awesome.

a huge thank you to my family, friends and you guys for all the amazing support! i can't even tell you how much i love and appreciate all of you.

this post is dedicated to angela chung (1988-2007), one of my first and closest friends i made in college. i miss her so much and wish she could've been there. it was nice that the school presented an honorary degree to her though, so in a way, she did get to graduate with us.

r.i.p. angela! ♥
