i joined cut out & keep, this awesome craft website where you can look at other people's projects and share your own! there are a lot of tutorials, and i found one for rainbow cupcakes. they were so pretty and yummy looking i decided i had to try to make them. they are a bit tricky to make and take a lot of patience, but the end result is totally worth it.
i used 5 colors instead of 6 (ditched the purple) and added white frosting on top for "clouds". yum! they look magical when you bite into them.
the website is really cool, so i suggest visiting! i posted a couple of cupcake projects (my version of the rainbow cupcakes + ice cream cone cupcakes, which i blogged about before). visit my profile here to check out my projects.
i also visited the forums and joined a friendship book swap on the site. i just finished making mine a couple of days ago (mine's the stripey pink and white one). there are 5 girls participating from around the world, and each one makes a small book with several pages, writes her info./decorates it/etc., and sends it to one girl. then that girl fills out a page, sends it to the next one, etc. i've received two others and still have to send those out. it's a fun project though! i miss having pen pals.
in other news, i just started summer school (online) and am learning how to use illustrator. i hope i learn how to do cool things.
