fashion survey + outfit

thanks everyone for the comments on my last post! i totally would get a mac if i could, but i'm not working right now & therefore, i have no monies (or at least, not enough). my laptop is currently with geek squad because it turns out my service plan was a year longer than i thought. this means that they will (attempt to) fix it for me (even though i'm sure it's no longer salvageable because that has always been the case with my laptop-curse). but if it's truly dead, then they'll give me another replacement. i just wish i didn't have to wait a few weeks.

enough with the blabbing, here's an outfit from this week:

details: black shorts and black crochet cardigan (papaya), green bubble tunic (catch my i, gift from the best friend), white flip-flops (guess), headband (target)

and now, a fun fashion survey. thanks valencia, my fellow fashion blogger, for tagging me!

What is your current obsession? motorcycle jackets. i desperately want the one in the picture, but they don't have it in black anymore.

What is your horoscope & do you relate to it? cancer; i do and i don't. i mean, i get the "homebody" thing, but not the "motherly" thing.

What are you wearing today? something boring. i changed into a black cami (f21) + denim mini-skirt (heatherette) after interning because it's just so hot and i didn't feel like putting much thought into my outfit when i got home.

What is the last thing you bought? pop beauty eye cakes in teal + pink (they don't sell them at sephora anymore! ugh)

What do you think about the person who tagged you? she's, like, the only other fashion blogger who talks to me regularly, so that makes her awesome!!

That question about a fully furnished, paid for apartment, that everyone answers with 'Paris' or 'New York':
new york, then paris (after i brush up on my high school french skills)

What's for dinner? whatever dad cooked...but i REALLY want tacos again.

What's your favorite decade, fashion wise? decades, more like: 1900s, 20s, 40s, 50s, 60s. i like certain elements from most of the "big" fashion eras actually.

a little off topic, but i made a cute little 50s version of myself on the right à la "mad men" (which looks nothing like me). you know you want one too. i'm almost positive if
i lived during the 1950s, i'd be sporting one of those beehives. i've never watched "mad men", but i want to just for the fashion. too bad i keep missing it.

What are your must haves for summer? FLIP-FLOPS (of course), frilly tops, cute dresses and mini-skirts

What would you love to be able to afford? all those beautiful clothes that i'm surrounded by at my (unpaid) internship with bloomingdales (specifically, the stuff by nanette lepore and rebecca taylor)

What is your favorite piece of clothing from your own wardrobe? right now? my black bcbg high-waisted polka-dot mini-skirt with the scalloped hem. it goes with everything and it's so cute!

What is your dream job? i thought i wanted to work for a magazine and be a fashion editor/put together looks (like valencia!), but now i want to look into styling/costuming for movies and television shows.

What's your favorite magazine? i haven't read magazines that much lately. the internet is my favorite source for fashion.

What do you consider a fashion faux pas? i agree with valencia: crocs and birkenstocks are just...no.

Describe your personal style:
feminine/a little preppy/vintage-inspired-ish. i never know how to answer this.

Which Beatle is your favorite? paul mccartney, because he's a lefty like me! (what does this have to do with fashion??)

What are you proud of? not being afraid for dressing how i feel and for being really good at bargain shopping/finding things on sale (ha!). :)

i agree with u!!! no offense to croc lovers, i bet they're very comfy but, anyone with the least sense of fashion (or ridiculous) would not go on the street wearing one of those.

anyways, hope u figure out your laptop issue soon!!!
